The hardware has been designed for the needs of motorcyclists, meaning the toughest of use. It can withstand dust, hard knocks, freezing cold and extreme heat and can be cleaned with a high-pressure cleaner. This quality has earned it IP69 certification.
Has everything on the screen
The 5.5" touchscreen display is very easy to read, even in sunlight. The TFT display and ConnectedRide Navigator work together perfectly. Once the navigator is connected, the telephone, navigation and media elements are grayed out on the TFT display.

Whether you're using BMW ConnectedRide products or your smartphone, the ConnectedRide Navigator combines all the devices and media applications into one device. For example, the navigation function, telephony and media are grayed out on the TFT display of the bike and clearly shown on the display of the ConnectedRide Navigator when the connection between bike and navigator is active. And thanks to BMW ID and BMW Motorrad Cloud Integration, you can easily synchronize your route planning from the BMW Motorrad Connected app with the ConnectedRide Navigator.
With the navigation preparation, available as optional equipment for new models or as a retrofit solution, the ConnectedRide Navigator also connects many older BMW motorbikes built from 2014 onwards to the roads of the world. While on the road, you can operate the functions of the ConnectedRide Navigator easily and confidently via the multi-controller. For example, to use your smartphone and make a phone call or listen to music via a streaming app, simply use your left thumb to navigate through the intuitive user interface. You can also adjust the volume of all your other devices connected via Bluetooth.
Reach your destination exactly the way you want
Easily plan your favorite routes. They are automatically synchronized between the Connected app and the navigator via the ConnectedRide Cloud. This means you have an overview of the current status across devices. You can import externally planned routes and choose from three route options: Hard destinations with waypoints that you have to drive to or actively skip. Soft destinations with anchor points that you can use for orientation. Or an almost meter-precise route with many anchor points; e.g. for off-road riding. You can also display several routes at the same time to stay spontaneous. Start your next adventure perfectly prepared.

The Tourer models R 1200 RT, R 1250 RT, K 1600 GT, K 1600 GTL, K 1600 B and K 1600 Grand America are excluded.
New functions with Update 3:
- You can now plan your tours in even more detail with the ConnectedRide Navigator. This applies both to route planning in the BMW Connected app and to the import of tours from many well-known online planning tools.
- We have also further optimized the stability and usability of the ConnectedRide Navigator; e.g. with regard to music playback.

The ConnectedRide Navigator synchronizes all your relevant riding data with your BMW ID account via the BMW Cloud. Switch your Navigator to online mode, go to System Settings, and register at My BMW ID with your email address and password.

You decide your exact route: have different routes displayed on the map and select your favorite. You can use up to 20,000 track points per track. If you want to follow a pre-planned track, we recommend displaying it on the map in a color of your choice, and then starting navigation for this track. That way, you will get turn-by-turn navigation commands during your journey.
Wi-Fi connection

You can very conveniently link your ConnectedRide Navigator to Wi-Fi in order to synchronize your profile via the BMW Cloud at any time. Simply go to System Settings, select your preferred network, and enter the correct password – that's all there is to it.
