BMW AMA Adventure Riding Series

World–Class Adventure Rides for You and Your GS!

If you're not a member of the AMA, you should consider joining for a lot of reasons, including supporting motorcycle causes in general, receiving a great monthly magazine, and being able to do some awesome riding — like the AMA 2008 BMW National Adventure Riding Series.

The National Adventure Riding Series—sponsored by BMW Motorrad—is geared specifically for large enduro bikes. By "large," we're talking anything 650 cc's and over, so GSs definitely qualify. The routes are tailored for heavier adventure motorcycles, which means anything from graded gravel to sand to even the occasional singletrack trail. A few of the rides—which take place all around North America—are also part of the AMA National Dual–Sport Series, but they'll offer different optional courses for the bigger bikes, that's all.

When it's all said and done, the AMA National Adventure Riding Series is ideal for putting your GS through the paces, challenging yourself, hanging with your fellow off-road maniacs, and tearing it up.

  • * D — dirt roads
  • * S — sandy sections
  • * R — rocky sections

If you're the kind of GS rider who gets bummed out when the dirt ends and the pavement begins, the AMA 2008 BMW National Adventure Riding Series is in your sweet spot. So get your dirt on and we'll see your out on the trail!
